Mumpreneurs Conference Presenter: Terri Cook

Introducing Terri Cook of The Success Zone

Terri has always had entrepreneurial blood running through her veins. Growing up in a family who were business owners, Terri grew up witnessing first hand, the inner workings of business. The successes, the not so successful times, the full workings from start up to a fully fledged business. With that kind of training ground within a number of industries including the family Real Estate business, Terri moved through University to complete 3 degrees before returning to real estate herself and then into recruitment. After 7 ½ years running a recruitment agency in the CBD of Brisbane, Terri moved full time into her own coaching practice and has been running her successful business from home for the last 8 years. Terri has a strong understanding of what it takes to run a successful business from home – having made all the mistakes herself she has the ability to show her clients what not to do and how to do things in the correct order. “I got clients right away as a life coach, when I began my own business – what I didn’t do was set everything up from the start properly – I ran at it like a bull at a gate and well quite frankly created this unholy mess where I had too many clients, no time to do anything, no time for my life outside my work, no business plan and no support. That’s where I made my first mistake. So in short things kind of imploded when a family member got sick and I really had to sit back and look at what I was creating. Why had I gone into business for myself??? What did I really want?? I WANTED IT TO BE FABULOUS!!!

So I set about organising some new goals for myself – I took on my own Coach again and reworked my goals, my hours and reclaimed my life and my business. My Priority was to be there for my kids and to create a business that allowed me to do so. That was my major goal – STILL IS!!! That’s what I focus on with my clients – showing them how to set up their businesses so that they can Re-claim their lives, their businesses and BE FABULOUS!!!! I focus on showing my clients how to set your goals, set your work and home life boundaries, your niche, how to speak to your niche in a way that they will understand and so much more.
In short we focus on creating a business to attract all the clients you want so you can earn the income you want and reclaim your life – You running your business rather than your business running you!!!

Mindset is another area of great importance in business and a key component of business success. I use the rules of the laws of attraction and action, NLP and cutting edge coaching techniques to show you have to have all the clients you want, earning the income you truly desire and have the life style that you dream about.

Terri will be presenting the following Workshop at the Mumpreneurs Conference

HOW TO grow your business and be FABULOUS AT THE SAME TIME. This workshop will focus on Re-claiming your Life and Business through marketing and mindset –

Attract ALL THE CLIENTS YOU WANT AND Re-claim your FABULOUSITY!!!!

We will go through the 7 steps you need to be truly FABULOUS AND GROW YOUR BUSINESS AT A RAPID RATE!!!!! Both online and offline!!

Seach Engine Optimisation with VICKI FRITTMANN

VICKI FRITTMANN – Seach Engine Optimisation

Vicki Frittmann’s journey began when she attended an Ecommerce conference and began to build her first website.

She quickly realised that to have a website and products to sell was not enough. SEO was what the site needed to ensure that it ranked high in the search results.

After attending several more conferences relating to SEO, Vicki became a member of a USA based Online Merchant forum, made up of SEO experts, and spent months educating herself and applying the techniques, to her site, with amazing results.

For a new site, it ranked extremely well, much to the distaste of her competitors.

She soon became an active user at the “Online Merchant forum” and within 8 months was asked to be a moderator as well as contributing her SEO knowledge by giving other new merchants, site reviews.

The reviews brought pleasing results, and she soon found herself earning an income by helping others to achieve website success.

In mid 2007 she built her 2nd website, which ranks on page 1 for many keywords, by applying all the same SEO techniques and some new ones.

Vicki has spent several years building a library of information relating to Search Engine Optimization. The SEO learning curve never ends, so she continuously educates herself and her clients on new techniques and trends.

“I am fortunate enough to have a brother who is Head of SEO at Total Travel, a company now owned by Yahoo, and yes I pick his brains often, as we both prefer to rank organically as apposed to a PPC campaign” says Vicki.

So with all these resources at her fingertips and a passion for SEO, she has been able to share her knowledge with others, and help them, to build successful websites.

Over this last year she has been reviewing sites at C2U.

The feedback received, speaks for itself.

The info you provided was well worth the investment.

I can highly recommend Vicki. She provided a very in depth and useful report and suggestions for my website. Thank you for your fantastic service

Getting the website review with Vicki has been the best thing I have done... it has given me a massive understanding of what’s important for SEO, and an interest in reading and learning more.

Mumpreneurs Conference Presenter: Tanya Love

Tanya Love was going to be a lot of things when she grew up, but never did she dream that one of them would be a photographer. A scientist, yes, a lawyer, maybe, arty farty photographer type, no!

But Mother Nature had other plans and one day, Tanya became a mum. Almost immediately, she found herself with camera in hand a LOT. Pretty soon, Tanya felt as though she was born to be a photographer, and came to realise just how much she loved colour, and light, and cute little faces smiling back at her! Putting them all together was the easy part, learning the techie stuff was not!

After a embarking on a steep learning curve including a lot of online mentoring from some notable international photographers, a trip to the USA, and a whole lot of reading, Tanya embarked upon a busy career as a wedding photographer and make-up artist, regularly flying interstate for her growing client base. Fast forward a few years, and Tanya temporarily "retired" from photography when it became clear that shooting 2 or 3 weddings every weekend just didn't suit a mum of 5 kids. Tanya instead returned to University, to commence a degree in Community Development and Child Welfare and started an online eco-business to pay the bills.

Even so, photography never was too far away with Tanya shooting products for her own website and taking on the role as the sole photographer for the International brand of organic kids clothing, Bacche, that her company was distributing in Australia.

But it seems that photography always was Tanya’s calling and late last year, she returned to it with a new found energy and enthusiasm! This time, it is different though. Now with over 10 years of photographic experience and knowledge to her credit, and many lessons learned, Tanya is avoiding the wedding game, and instead is making waves in the commercial industry as a unique and eclectic photographer of kid and baby products. Henceforth came the inception of Love Bytes – http://www.lovebytes.com.au/

Tanya’s style is vibrant, whimsical and bold. Quirkiness and “out there” have become her trade mark and her images are often instantly recognisable due to their intense colour saturation, distinctive styling and diverse use of posing ideas.

Currently, Tanya’s ever-growing client list includes international brands such as Agoo Canada and Bacche, with many smaller boutique brands closer to home also benefiting from her unique style. Tanya is also in the throes of the production of a series of instructional guides, sharing the secrets of product photography, photo editing basics and children’s photography in a way that is aimed at women, and which cuts through the technical jargon and teaches in a way that any woman truly appreciates!

Never without a long term project on the horizon, Tanya has recently embarked on a very special venture in a bid to raise awareness and much needed funds to assist in preventing child abuse and neglect in Australia. The project is called “Great Expectations” and aims to be a beautiful presented journal of black and white images showcasing intimate moments in the lives of well-known Australian celebrities and sports people. All profits raised from the project will go to ACT For Kids which is an amazing organisation that works with families and children at risk of child abuse and neglect in putting their lives back together.

Above and beyond it all, Tanya is a mum to 5 little cherubs that make her smile both inside and out during every moment of every day. Tanya is excited to be speaking at the Connect2Mums Mumpreneur Conference in 2010, and looks forward to sharing what she has learned with all of the wonderful, hard-working mums that she will meet there!
