Mumpreneurs Conference Presenter: Nick Bowditch

Nick is going to tell his story of how he built up three successful small businesses in less than 2 years without spending a cent on conventional marketing or any traditional advertising and how you can do it too.

Nick is an Australian online success story.  Basically broke and with his young family expanding quickly, Nick took one of the bravest – and best – decisions of his life and chucked in his  city job to start his own travel business, working from home.

He built up that business from a customer database of just four when he started, to more than 4,500 a year later – all without staff, a shopfront, and without any mainstream advertising in print, radio or television – instead opting to promote his new business using Social Media Marketing.

In the last year, he has gone from having one online business to three, his e-books and electronic products have now been downloaded thousands of times, and he is now a sought-after keynote speaker for small business seminars and the author of The Business of Being David - How to use social media to make your small business big which is now in its 4th print run.

At the conference, Nick is going to tell us his story, discuss the different social media marketing options he used to build his businesses including Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, YouTube and FourSquare and how you can also use these media to help you compete with the bigger, longer-established and better-funded businesses out there. The title of his presentation at the conference is "How to use social media to make your small business big".
