Carolyn Creswell - Carman's Fine Food

Carman’s founder Carolyn Creswell is living proof that you can run a highly successful business and still have a genuine work-life balance.

From hand-making muesli for a few local cafes as an 18 year old student, Carolyn bought the little business for $1000 and she has grown Carman’s to the number one selling muesli and bar brand on Australian supermarket shelves, which now exports to 26 countries world-wide. Carolyn has led by example ensuring Carman’s is an employer of choice, offering flexible hours and a trusting environment for staff.

In 2007 Carolyn was awarded the Ernst & Young’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and Carman’s has been named one of BRW’s Fastest growing companies in Australia – and all the while Carolyn’s managed to raise four children under 7 and maintain a successful marriage.

Today, Carolyn not only runs Carman’s on a day to day basis, but is also a board member of both the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation and the Victorian Human Rights & Equal Opportunity Commission.
